We have some exciting new Field Updates as well as some new API abilities with Brushfire Online. Furthermore, for those who haven’t already, check out the reminders about Google Analytics and switching your Payment Gateways if needed.

Field Updates

We are excited to announce that we have enhanced functionality with some Buyer and Attendee Fields. The three big updates are:

  1. The ability to confirm important fields (emails, passport numbers, phone numbers, etc) to ensure accurate input on specific field types of your choosing.
  2. The ability to allow/disallow certain domains on emails you collect
  3. The ability to specify which attendee email field (when there are multiple) is used for order lookups and self-service check-in searches

Brushfire Online API Updates

We have created a public API for our virtual events to allow our customers the flexibility to use the API to create channels and content within channels. If this is something you are interested in, please reach out to our Support Specialists and they can walk you through it!

Reminder: Google Analytics Deadline

Google has announced that Universal Analytics will be going away on July 1, 2023, and you will need to make the switch to Google Analytics 4 as soon as possible to avoid interruption to your analytics tracking. View this Help Article for more details on how to utilize Google Analytics with Brushfire and Brushfire Online. 

Reminder: Payment Gateways

As of July 1, 2023, Brushfire will only support Square, our preferred payments provider, Stripe, and Authorize.net. However, Authorize.net will also phase out through the end of this year. This guide provides an excellent overview of what you get when you use Brushfire + Square.

Creating a new Square or Stripe account or connecting your existing account to Brushfire is easy and only takes a few minutes of your time! Learn how to connect your payment gateway to your Brushfire account.
